Heron Park Nature Center
The heron park nature center is open all days from 8:30 am. The park is located at the center of Kiawah Island. It provides visit with programs detailed with information on nature.
Reservations are made for tours and the programs. It features birding, alligator and butterfly walks among many more. There are exhibits, displays and information of the environment and the surroundings that make up the Kiawah Island.

Beachwalker Park
The Beachwalker Park is located at the west of Kiawah Island. It features an ocean frontage, boardwalk and a view of River Kiawah. It is the only park with beach access on Kiawah Island.
The park consists of a picnic area, a bar, beach access, rentals, showers among the amenities it has. The Beachwalker Park is in between River Bohicket and the ocean.

Folly beach County Park
The folly beach county park is located at the west of Kiawah Island. It is in between River Folly and the Atlantic Ocean. There is a beachfront swimming area with seasonal lifeguards. The park advises visitors to arrive early or to carpool due to limited parking space. There can be delays when entering the park due to the issue of limited space.

James Island County Park
The James Island invites all families to come and experience the natural beauty as they have fun at the park. There is a fountain that is opened seasonally, you will get to do fishing, crabbing, and biking, skating, picnic and there is a dog park. It has vacation cottages, the tallest climbing wall in South Carolina, GLF course and a sandy volleyball court. The park also has shelters, meeting and reception facilities that are rented.

Botany Bay
It is a 4,600-acre piece of land that has a beachfront. It is located south of Charleston City. It features pine hardwood forests, agricultural farms, and a beachfront. There are wildlife species at the park like the sea turtles, songbirds among other creatures because of the sea island that is not disturbed providing a good habitat for the sea creatures. You can get to drive as you self tour along the botany pay park. All are welcome.
